Hiatus notice

Hello everyone.

It's been a long time since there was any communication regarding the Kernel from my side. I apologise for that. I've been really caught up with things IRL and I never got the chance to address it all.

To summarize, I recently graduated from University and have now been employed by an IT BPO company and am undergoing training for my role for the next three months. Since my working hours are from 9AM to 7PM, I've not really much time to spend on updating the Kernel.

Until I get the time to work on the kernel, I request everyone to shift to the latest early access build or to an alternative kernel such as Silont. The latest early access build also adds support for EROFS ROMs.

To be clear, this is not an EOL notice. I still run Surya on ArrowOS and plan to maintain the kernel as long as I own the device. Its just to inform you that new builds won't be coming out anytime soon and any bugs if present will take much longer to address.

Hello everyone.

Effective from November 23rd 2022, all my GitHub projects that utilise Actions will cease to function. The list of projects that may be affected are :-

- Stratosphere Kernel Test Pilots
- Taalojarvi's ReVanced Builds
- WSL Linux Clearsky custom kernel

Since I'm no longer enrolled in a public university, I am not eligible for the GitHub Education package which was powering all the infrastructure thus far.

I am looking into alternatives but since I'm currently employed and don't have much spare time, efforts have been inadequate at best.

Therefore, i ask you - the community that we built over the last few years - to extend your support and provide useful input to the project. This can be either through donations so that we can migrate to a paid service to hook our existing infrastructure into or preferably through submitting useful pull requests that can remedy the situation

Hopefully, we may navigate easily through these transitory times.

Hello everyone,

We have reset development on Stratosphere Kernel and rebuilt it from the ground up. As such, features and issues present on the previous milestone builds may have been mitigated/removed. We'll be re-adding those features back based on user demand.

Post-reset builds are available on early access and will be available on official channels when it's ready.

Please test these builds extensively and let me know if there are any issues or edge cases that I may have missed out.

You may access these builds from @StratospherePilots channel.

Discontinuing mainline support for Stratosphere Kernel for Poco X3

As of 14 April 2024, Support for Stratosphere Kernel (Non-KSU builds) has been sunset from my side. Please migrate to David's Stratosphere KSU builds or a different kernel altogether for extended support.

As you all probably know, my Poco X3 was bricked last year due to a motherboard and battery failure. I tried replacing the battery but unfortunately, that did not last very long and it appears that my device is permanently dead. This unfortunately means that I have no device to test changes on and I don't want to ship untested changes on my channel.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your support during this project's lifetime (especially the country of Indonesia and Brazil who has been number 1 country on my analytics page for downloads). I had an amazing time learning more about kernels, and we've fostered one of the more positive communities among the Xiaomi aftermarket development groups.

With that being said, I take respite from this project. This does not mean I'm leaving this group. Feel free to ping me if you want to chat or ask for help, I'm not PM averse but I might take a while to respond due to commitments irl.
