🔴◾️در باب اعتقادات #فریمن_دایسون Freeman Dyson
فریمن دایسون، فیزیکدانی است برجسته که خود را مسیحی می‌داند گرچه تعبیرات خاصی دارد که ممکن است با آن سازگار نباشد.
ایشان نظریه ژن خودخواه داوکینز را البته بخشی از واقعیت اما آگاهی را راز مرموزی می‌داند. لذا #ریچارد_داوکینز را دگم می‌خوانند. در حالیکه از #استیفن_هاوکینگ به عنوان انسانی شاخص قدردانی می‌کنند(۲)
اما با تفکر ماتریالیسمی مخالف است و معتقد است علم فقط بخشی از حقایق را به ما می نمایاند و مذهب مکمل آنست (۱) ایشان تمایل به پذیرش وجود آگاهی در عالم دارد و نظریه فرگشت را برای تبیین حیات در گروههای کوچک کافی نمی‌داند.
اینکه آیا جهان دارای هدفی است می‌گوید ممکن است. اما بیشتر محتمل است که جهان دارای چند هدف باشد تا یک هدف. لذا احتمالا باید خدایانی باشند نه یک خدا. زیرا جهان دارای تناقضاتی است که با چند خدایی یونانیان سازگارتر است.
البته او در اعتقادات خود تعصب نمی‌ورزد. زمانی او نظریه عجیبی درباره جاودانگی هوشمندی داشت بنام

که پس از آنکه در ۱۹۹۸ نشان داده شد برخلاف فرضیه او انبساط جهان با شتاب فزاینده در حال گسترش است با فروتنی، نظر خود را اشتباه خواند.

is there a purpose to life and does the universe have a purpose? I think it’s certainly an open question.
I tend to believe the answer is yes. There are so many details in the universe that seem to favour life and intelligence. It looks as if there is some purpose there, but certainly, we cannot decide that. It’s a matter of religion, not of science...
I would say it’s more probable that there are many different purposes competing. If there is a God, there probably is a collection of gods rather than a single one. The polytheistic view historically came first. Ancient religions all had many gods rather than one. Monotheistic religion was a later development.
But I think it’s quite likely that the older views were right, and really there’s a competing bunch of gods, like the ones that the Greeks believed in, and that explains why the universe is full of contradictions.
