👉🏻 More information: We seek a PhD student who will investigate how well aspects of generic quantum systems and quantum circuits can be approximated by integrable systems. Of particular interest is the time evolution of states. The student will study what types of models can be closely approximated while imposing integrability constraints and how this can be implemented as a quantum circuit. The starting point will be regular integrable models with nearest-neighbour interactions, but this will be extended to models with longer range interactions and inhomogeneities.
