當中歐洲議會對華關係小組主席Reinhard Bütikofer表示，此舉無疑是極權國家要求鄰居互相監視、互打小報告的做法。

對外資而言，當政府主動鼓勵藍絲小粉紅作「文革式舉報」，無疑變相令外商更容易出事，皆因《國安法》本身已影響海外人才或外商，加埋篤灰熱線，令人擔心生意伙夥或對手可以羅織所謂「黑材料」，鬥臭鬥倒對手。
