- تستهدف مصر بدء تصدير الكهرباء إلى الدول الثلاث اعتباراً من عام 2029، وذلك بعد رفع قدرة الربط الكهربائي الحالي مع الأردن بمقدار 4 أضعاف.
- الخط المزمع إنشاؤه سيبدأ من مدينة طابا المصرية الواقعة في أقصى جنوب شبه جزيرة سيناء حتى خليج العقبة على ساحل البحر الأحمر، بقدرة 2000 ميغاواط، ويستغرق تنفيذه 30 شهراً من تاريخ انتهاء الدراسات وبدء التنفيذ.
- تستعد مصر لطرح مناقصة لاختيار استشاري عالمي يتولى إعداد الدراسات الفنية لإنشاء الخط الجديد وفقاً للمواصفات القياسية، بتكلفة تصل إلى مليون دولار، و يقدر وقت الدراسة بنحو 6 أشهر.
