16 октября 1973 Нобелевскую премию мира получил куратор переворота Генри Киссинджер. Это была его вторая попытка, первый путч, в октябре 1970, провалился.

Впрочем, нобелевку-то Кисинджеру дали за прекращение огня во Вьетнаме. Так что формально эти события никак не связаны. Награда - отдельно, расстрелы и пытки - отдельно.
