Ok, sure. Christianity as a formal religion developed in a culturally European environment, so it's not that big of a stretch to assume that elements of Paganism made it's way into the image of Christ and the religion as a whole.
But in defense of Christians, can't they have something that's just their own? I'm under the impression that anytime elements of Christianity comes to the surface that are not a part of the mainstream religion; some pagans are quick to assume that it's pagan in origin, which it could be sure. But whatever paganism that was has been transformed for ends and purposes to further the Christian story and message.
Did people shake hands before Christianity? Did we drink water before Christianity?
