Regarding marriage, these seem to be the 2 main arguments from Christians who believe secular marriage is valid:

1) Belief in God is not required for Him to join two people

Hm any Christian ceremony I'm familiar with is very explicit about husbands and wives invoking God in forming the marriage union. Is that just unnecessary theater then if he will join people regardless?

2) There's different type of marriage, natural or civil and Church marriage!

I see as well people arguing that secular, long-term monogamous unions still produce better fruits than the alternative, which is something I did bring up on the stream as well, but it is a different conversation entirely whether something is *useful* or *pragmatic* vs in line with God's word and plan for what marriage really is.
