It offers high speed internet without SIM or cables starting at Rs 999 per month.
Aimed at businesses it provides data only with no voice calls.
The service uses local technology & is available in select cities like Hyderabad.
BSNL plans to expand to more cities by September 2025.
The name Q 5G was chosen through a public campaign reflecting speed & innovation.
India’s first SIM-less 5G broadband service!
BSNL's Quantum 5G FWA is possible by using 5G signals from existing towers to deliver internet to a device at your home, converting it to Wi-Fi without SIMs or cables. It's like Verizon's 5G Home Internet globally.

In a groundbreaking move, Bihar has become the first state in India to roll out mobile-based e-voting for urban local body elections.
Developed by CDAC and the Bihar State Election Commission, the system is built on two dedicated Android apps and aims to make voting more inclusive and accessible for:
- Senior citizens
- Persons with disabilities (PwDs)
- Pregnant women
- Migrant workers
