Understanding the Zero Conditional
اگر آب را تا دمای صد درجه سلسیوس گرم کنیم چه اتفاقی می‌افتد؟ می‌جوشد.
اگر در هوای سرد لباس گرم نپوشیم چه اتفاقی می‌افتد؟ بدون شک سرما می‌خوریم.
پاسخ این پرسش‌ها بر مبنای حقیقت یا قانون کلی شکل گرفته است، قوانین ثابت و مشخصی که همه در مورد آن می‌دانند. این حقایق در هر زمان و مکانی می‌توانند مطرح شوند و برای ساختن آن‌ها از جملات شرطی نوع صفر کمک می‌گیریم. بنابراین، جملات شرطی نوع صفر دو ویژگی مهم دارند که عبارت است از:
برای بیان حقیقتی کلی یا عمومی، قوانین و عادت‌های همیشگی به کار می‌روند.
به زمان و مکان خاصی مربوط نمی‌شوند (می‌تواند متعلق به لحظه حال یا هر لحظه دیگری باشد).
Structure of the Zero Conditional:
Form: If + present simple, present simple.
Example:
If water reaches 100 degrees Celsius, it boils.
If I have free time, I read a book.
