App windows get snagged between monitors easier now
I am talking about how App windows will be 1/2 maximized to right/left half of the screen when you try to drag them between monitors.
Maybe I am going crazy but I feel like they increased the threshold for how fast you need to be moving the App window to not trigger this. I never use this functionality so it gets very annoying. Is there a way to modify the speed threshold so that the half screen maximization doesn't trigger so easily.

Ram memory consumption of the βsearchβ application in Windows 11.
Is it normal for the βSearchβ application in Windows 11 to consume a lot of Ram? Besides that, I have noticed that it does not pause after a certain time; as it did in Windows 10, that is, it is always running even if it is not searching for anything.

how Windows takes advantagens of different CPU instructions?
I dual boot Windows 10 and Arch Linux.
I recently found out about something called CachyOS, they have a repository that basically recompiles some of Arch Linux's packages with certain optimizations, and also compiles them with a minimum instruction set, which can be x86_64, x86_64-v3, x86_64-v4, or Zen.
Today a question came to mind: how does this work on Windows? I don't see Microsoft distributing multiple images of Windows for different micro-architectures

Sample template of Utilization
Good day everyone!
Just ask, How do you report monthly utilization for Windows CPU, Disk, and Memory?
Can I see how you report utilization? Just blur out any sensitive information. I just want to see and understand how you present utilization reports to your IT manager.

I keep coming back to Windows, my experience with Linux distros
Windows 11 is not supported on my hardware, and since Windows 10 will reach end of support this October, I thought I should try Linux. While my computer is considered old, it's not actually slow or problematic, it can still handle a lot of tasks successfully, including gaming and video editing.
After searching various websites, including Reddit, and watching videos on YouTube, I feel like a lot of people misrepresent or downplay certain aspects of Linux distros. At least, thatβs how it feels based on my limited experience with Linux as a Windows user since XP.
The distros I tried:
Linux Mint
Ubuntu
CachyOS
Pop!_OS
Zorin OS
Common problems I've come across:
βYou donβt have to use the terminalββ¦ until you do. Iβve had to use the terminal sooner or later in every distro Iβve tried.
Most solutions online are terminal-based.
System settings that have a GUI in Windows might not have one in Linux.
Hardware compatibility issues often require tinkering and using the terminal.
Lack of standardization can make it harder to find what you're looking for.
βEverything updates in one place, just like your phoneβ, not really. Not all updaters are unified. In fact, it may be even more confusing than Windows.
Apps that have a full GUI on Windows may not have one on Linux, or may have a much more limited one, often expecting you to use the terminal.
I guess it all boils down to a lack of GUI compared to Windows and the expected use of the terminal.
Iβm not saying Linux is bad, but it can be quite different from what you might imagine based on what people say online.

Is it just me or does the "Update and shut down" never work cause it literally always updates and restarts?
I am always doing the update and shut down when i go to sleep and it always finishes and restarts my computer. The fans make too much noise so i always have to wait for it to end and then shut it down manually. Does anyone else experience this annoying bug?

Windows Hello face unlock no longer works in the dark, and Microsoft says it's not a bug
A recent Windows update has changed how Windows Hello face unlock works, now requiring a color camera in addition to IR sensors to authenticate you. That means it can no longer see you in low-light environments.

diskusage.exe - sort by size?
I posted elsewhere on the web about someone who's laptop has no space on their 265GB drive. I was trying to see what was taking up the space. Someone mentioned diskusage.exe. Anyone know switches / pipes to be able to sort the diskusage results by folder size? I can't seem to figure that out.

Windows 10/11: Logging In Using Microsoft Account and Access PIN
I've set up a tenant and created a user account within my company. The account is currently logged in on a shared PC. Now, I want to disable this account and prevent access to the PC. However, the user had set up a PIN and is still able to log in. Is this expected behavior?
