TranslucentTB, is it safe?
I wanted a clean-looking desktop, so I searched YouTube for tips. They kept recommending a Microsoft Store app called translucentTB, and I was just wondering if itβs sketchy or safe to use.

Hello fellow Windows Users, for anyone wondering, since I saw a few posts asking if this is possible I wanted to test it out myself and I can tell you, yes it does.
It took me 2-3h to install everything and configure the registry to get this to work, and here we are. No idea how useful it actually is (not going to lie, I will probably love to use it).
If anyone wishes, I can create a guide in text or video format how to do so, but do not expect it to happen in the next days, it'll need some time!
Anyways, a great week you all!

I remember using something like Windows 1995 or 2000 in a dentist's office when I was like 6 or 7 i'm not sure if it was Windows 2000 but it was very similar. Then in school I remember we used Windows XP and Windows Vista. Then still in school I remember when they switched to Windows 10

Finding the full duration of multiple files/folders Win11
Hi! I have a bunch of downloaded music in my music folder and am curious how long the collective duration is between them. Please let me know if anyone knows how to find the collective duration! I use regular Windows file explorer and media player.

Help! How to convert MKV to AVI without losing quality on Windows 10?
Hey everyone,
Iβm trying to figure out how to convert MKV to AVI on Windows 10 without losing quality. I have a bunch of MKV files (some pretty big, around 4-6 GB each) that I want to turn into AVI format so they play properly on an older media player. The main thing is β I really donβt want the video or audio quality to suffer.
I tried a few free online converters, but either the video looked compressed, the audio was off, or the file size ended up way bigger than necessary. Ideally, Iβm looking for a tool that preserves quality and lets me adjust settings like bitrate, resolution, or codec if needed.
Would love to hear your recommendations! Ideally something free or affordable that works smoothly on Windows 10. Thanks a ton for any advice you can share!

Snip and Sketch History
Is there anyway of seeing the snip and sketch history from multiple days ago? I was able to figure out the location of the S&S photos, even if they aren't saved, from here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/iv8gf8/snip\_sketch\_autosave\_location/ . However, it doesn't seem to keep track of anything from before shutdown/ login. If the photos get saved, and then deleted on shutdown from that location, do they go to a place like the recycling bin, where I can find them?

Full computer backup
Which free or one time fee software is best for backing up my entire PC to and SSD and to the cloud on a schedule? It should be easy to recover the entire system to a new PC.
Also, for the cloud storage what is the average price of 2-3TB of storage per month or year? Any recommendations on how to setup this up as user friendly as possible?

How do I get my Windows Key back?
I did a fresh Windows 10 Home install on my PC back in 2021, and I used my dad's old Windows 7 Pro key to activate Windows.
Today, I decided to finally get an SSD, and while I'm at it, do a clean install of Windows 10 Home on my PC. However, after logging in, Windows is not activated ,and apparently you haven't been able to use old keys since 2023. I thought the key would be digitally associated with my account, but that is not the case. Is there anything I can do to get it back? I can't afford to buy Windows right now
