You work for it. They print it out of thin air. ₿itcoin fixes this.

In 2016, Andreas was 100% right. This is exactly what's happening in our society right now.

Why is r/investing so against bitcoin?
I’ve done my research and believe in bitcoin but I saw a recent post on r/investing and most of them are all against it, what gives?

It finally happened
Thanks a lot...I just got coin base and bought in with 3k after all these years. Im instantly down $31 dollars. I knew this would happen. I feel like a new addiction to looking at the ticker was unlocked. What's my next move?

5 years ago I thought my life was over, BTC saved me. Now I'm all in for my retirement
I bought a couple of coins back in 2013, kept them on a hot wallet and carried on with my life (IIRC it was a crazy time where on message boards we were astounded at it going to $300 a coin).
5 years ago I got into a messy divorce. I thought I was doing well in life with a house almost paid off and a lot of cash in the bank. My bank accounts got frozen and I was forced out of the house. I was allowed to withdraw a small amount of cash each month from my bank in person. It was humiliating. But luckily I had my BTC. While I did sell most of them on the cheap, they still gave an amazing return and might have even saved my life when I was at my lowest point. I had to fund everything and lost pretty much most of my cash and the house by the time it was over.
Since then I've managed to build myself back up and while I missed out of the lows of 2023 I've been BTC max the last 18 months or so.
I'm hoping to get enough to retire on for when I turn 60 and while it might be very volatile you can't beat self custody and knowing that you can't suddenly find all your money has been locked away from you by governments or banks.
