Surah Al Kahf 109

(Aey Muhammad), kaho ke agar samandar mere Rubb ki baatein likhne ke liye roshnayi(ink) ban jaaye to woh khatam ho jaaye magar mere Rubb ki baatein khatam na hon, balke itni hi roshnayi aur le aayein to woh bhi kifayat (sufficience) na kare.

Sunan Ibn Majah 1727

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“There are no days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these days,” meaning the (first) ten days of Dhul- Hijjah. They said: “O Messenger of Allah! Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah?” He said: “Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah, unless a man goes out with himself and his wealth and does not bring anything back.”

 * Increasing in Dhikr (remembrance of Allah), like Tasbeeh (SubhanAllah), Tahleel (La ilaha illallah), and Takbeer (Allahu Akbar).

 * Reciting Quran, giving charity, and making abundant Du'a (supplication).

Let's seize this blessed opportunity to draw closer to Allah!

Hadith on Spending on Parents:
Narrated Abu Mas'ud Al-Ansari: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When a Muslim spends something on his family intending to receive Allah's reward it is regarded as Sadaqa for him." (Sahih al-Bukhari)
And in another narration:
Narrated Thawban: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The best dinar a man spends is a dinar he spends on his dependents, and a dinar he spends on his riding animal in the Way of Allah, and a dinar he spends on his companions in the Way of Allah." (Sahih Muslim)
These hadith highlight that spending on one's family, which includes parents, is not merely an obligation but a highly rewarding act of charity in the sight of Allah, even more so than some other forms of charity. When parents are in need, financially supporting them becomes an even greater obligation and a pathway to immense blessings.

Beneficial Reminder:

Never let your heart be consumed by pessimism. Constant fear, worry, and expecting the worst are signs of mistrusting the mercy of Allah.
Imam Al-Shafi’i wisely said that such thoughts reflect a poor opinion of the Most Merciful.
