In light of the dangerous escalation resulting from Israel's act of force against Iran, Vladimir Putin had telephone conversations with President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian and Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu

🔹The President of Russia expressed his condolences to the authorities and citizens of Iran over the heavy death toll resulting from Israeli strikes, including among civilians.

🔹Vladimir Putin stressed that Russia condemned Israel's actions, which had been carried out in violation of the UN Charter and international law. The Russian side has been fully supporting the efforts to resolve the situation around Iran's nuclear programme peacefully and has proposed concrete initiatives aimed at reaching mutually acceptable agreements. Russia will continue to promote a de-escalation between Iran and Israel.

🔹In his conversation with the Prime Minister of Israel, the President of Russia emphasised the importance of resuming the negotiations and resolving any issues pertaining to Iran's nuclear programme exclusively via political and diplomatic means. In addition, the Russian leader expressed willingness to provide mediation so as to prevent further escalation.

🔹It was agreed that the Russian side will maintain close contact with the authorities of both Iran and Israel with a view to resolving the present situation, which is fraught with the most disastrous consequences for the entire region.

In his address ahead of the holiday, the President stressed that this day offers a great opportunity to thank all healthcare workers for their commitment to their high mission.

🇷🇺🇹🇷 Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan

🔹The discussion focused on the rapid escalation in the Middle East. Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned Israel's act of force against Iran, committed in violation of the UN Charter and other norms of international law.

🔹Both sides expressed most serious concern over the ongoing escalation of the conflict between Iran and Israel, which has already had a significant death toll and is fraught with long-term consequences for the entire region. The two leaders called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and for the two sides to settle their differences, including those pertaining to Iran's nuclear programme, exclusively through political and diplomatic means. It was agreed that the relevant authorities of Russia and Turkey will maintain close cooperation on the issue.

🔹When discussing issues concerning Ukraine, Vladimir Putin expressed gratitude to the Turkish side for providing organisational support for the direct talks between Moscow and Kiev. It was noted that Russia strictly complies with the agreements reached as a result of the second round, including those concerning the return of bodies of dead service personnel and the exchange of prisoners of war.

🔹In addition, there was an exchange of views on pressing bilateral matters, including the energy sector. This topic will be addressed during the Russian-Turkish contacts as part of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum as well as at the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation to be held in late June.

🔹Recep Tayyip Erdogan extended greetings to Vladimir Putin and all Russians on the national holiday – Russia Day, celebrated on June 12.
Vladimir Putin held a working meeting with Governor of Sevastopol

Mikhail Razvozhayev briefed the President of the economic performance of the federal city, notably the growth of investment activity in the wine industry. The implementation of several social and cultural projects was addressed as well.

Vladimir Putin has approved a list of instructions following the meeting of the Movement of the First supervisory board

According to the document:

🔹A national drone operators championship for children aged 7 and over, dubbed "Pilots of the Future", will be held in Russia regularly starting in 2026. The championship will be organised by the Movement of the First in cooperation with the Drone Racing Federation, with funding provided by the federal budget.

🔹The Ministry of Sport and the Drone Racing Federation were instructed to submit proposals on reducing the minimum age for participating in drone racing contests from ten to seven years and to take steps to ensure official sports titles and ranks are assigned to athletes competing in the sport of drone racing.

🔹In order to establish a unified guidance environment, the position of advisor to the principal for guidance and relations with children's associations will be introduced at all federal and municipal general institutions.

🔹Assistance and support in terms of methodology for introducing the new position will be provided to educational institutions, with the Ministry of Education and the Russian Children and Youth Centre contributing.

🔹The Federal Government together with the authorities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory were instructed to take the necessary steps for holding the Square of the First project in Krasnoyarsk, ensuring in particular the required infrastructure is built, and the embankment of the Yenisei River is equipped with the necessary amenities.

🔹The contest and other events organised by the Znaniye Society to support initiatives of parents' associations will continue to be held going forward, with extra funds allocated for this purpose from the federal budget as needed.
Vladimir Putin held a working meeting with Rostec State Corporation CEO Sergei Chemezov

According to the Rostec CEO's report:

🔹In 2024, the corporation's revenue grew by 27 percent, totaling at 3.61 billion rubles, a third of which were proceeds from sales of civilian goods; the investment reached 676 billion rubles, which is an all-time high.

🔹Rostec's enterprises produce 80 percent of arms used in the special military operation.

🔹Military equipment is modernised continuously, with electronic warfare and airspace control systems improved in particular.

🔹The corporation is proceeding with its waste disposal efforts: the new waste incineration plant in the Moscow region processes over 2,000 tonnes of waste a day. Since 2024, 100 million kilowatt-hours of green energy have been generated, and over 200,000 tonnes of household waste have been disposed of.

🔹The corporation is expanding its civilian production capacity, in particular in terms of health products. The Orthotics Innovations Centre has produced 6,000 prostheses since 2022, with 30 percent being bioelectric, microprosessor-controlled appliances. As per the President's instruction, 25 branches of the Centre will be established throughout the country.

🔹With a staff of about 700,000, Rostec is the largest employer among industrial enterprises.

🔹Thanks to Rostec's support, 200 engineering study groups, comprising over 5,500 students in total, have been established at secondary school. Over 4,000 children were sent to universities under target quotas.

On June 18–20, Vladimir Putin will make a trip to Northwestern Federal District. As part of the visit, the President will attend the St Petersburg International Economic Forum

🔹This year, the forum will be themed "Shared Values: the Foundation of Growth in a Multipolar World."

🔹On June 18, the President of Russia will hold a meeting on economic matters, have talks with New Development Bank President Dilma Rouseff, and meet with executives of international news agencies.

🔹On June 19, Vladimir Putin will hold talks in St Petersburg with President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, who will be in Russia on an official visit.

🔹The two leaders intend to discuss pressing matters pertaining to political, trade and economic, and humanitarian and cultural cooperation between Russia and Indonesia and exchange views on the main topics on the regional and global agendas. Following the talks, a number of bilateral agreements will be signed.

🔹On June 20, Vladimir Putin will take part in the plenary session of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will also feature speeches by President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King of Bahrain for Philanthropy and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor, Commander of the Royal Guard, and head of the Bahraini delegation at the 28th St Petersburg International Economic Forum Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Ding Xuexiang, and Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa Paul Mashatile.
🇷🇺🇦🇪 At the initiative of the Emirati side, Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the UAE Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

🔹There was an exchange of views in relation to the rapid escalation in the Middle East. Both sides expressed deep concern over the ongoing escalation of the conflict between Iran and Israel, fraught with most adverse consequences for the entire region. They emphasised it was imperative to cease the hostilities and step up the political and diplomatic efforts aimed at settling the differences related to Iran's nuclear programme.

🔹Vladimir Putin confirmed Russia was willing to provide mediation with a view to promoting the dialogue between the parties to the conflict. In addition, he notified his counterpart of contacts made with several foreign leaders to discuss the issue.

🔹The presidents expressed satisfaction with the high level achieved in Russia-UAE cooperation in political, trade and economic, and humanitarian and cultural matters, and agreed to maintain personal contact.
