🔹The heads of state had an exchange of views on the outcomes of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, held on June 18–21 and attended by Bahrain as a guest country. Vladimir Putin made note of the active and productive work by the Bahraini delegation which was led by Personal Representative of His Majesty the King of Bahrain for Philanthropy and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The King of Bahrain thanked the Russian side for a warm welcome. Both leaders confirmed their commitment to developing the Russian-Bahraini mutually beneficial cooperation in trade and economy, investment, and cultural and humanitarian affairs further.
🔹The leaders also discussed the situation in the Middle East and spoke in favour of restoring peace and stability in the region as soon as possible. In this context, Russia's initiative of hosting the first Russia-Arab summit, to be held in Moscow in October, was recognised once again as timely.

Several pressing issues pertaining to the EAEU will be discussed, including further liberalisation of single markets for goods and services, as well as expansion of transport corridors in Eurasia. In addition, the participants are to address the matter of developing the Union's international relations.
