The chief editors of Russian history and world history textbooks, including Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky, rector of Moscow State Institute of International Relations Anatoly Torkunov, head of research at the Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Chubaryan, and Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov, are taking part in the meeting.

🇷🇺🇮🇶 Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq Muhammed Shia al-Sudani

🔹There was a detailed exchange of views on the situation in the Middle East in the context of Israel's use of force against Iran, as well as the US air strike on Iran's nuclear facilities. Both sides noted these actions, which represent a gross violation of the UN Charter and other norms of international law, are fraught with extremely dangerous and unpredictable consequences for the stability of the region and the entire international security architecture. They confirmed their interest in seeing a speedy end to the hostilities and a return to using political and diplomatic means to resolve the situation.

🔹Vladimir Putin and Muhammed Shia al-Sudani have also expressed concern over the risks emerging for global energy markets and emphasised the importance of continuing active cooperation within OPEC+.

🔹Pressing matters pertaining to bilateral cooperation, including in trade and economy, were addressed as well. The leaders expressed a mutual desire to strengthen the traditionally friendly ties between Russia and Iraq further.

🔹The President of Russia wished Muhammed Shia al-Sudani success in the context of Iraq currently holding the presidency of the Arab League. It was agreed that the two sides will take steps to ensure the first Russia-Arab summit, to be held in October 2025, proves productive.

🇷🇺🇧🇭 Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa

🔹The heads of state had an exchange of views on the outcomes of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, held on June 18–21 and attended by Bahrain as a guest country. Vladimir Putin made note of the active and productive work by the Bahraini delegation which was led by Personal Representative of His Majesty the King of Bahrain for Philanthropy and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The King of Bahrain thanked the Russian side for a warm welcome. Both leaders confirmed their commitment to developing the Russian-Bahraini mutually beneficial cooperation in trade and economy, investment, and cultural and humanitarian affairs further.

🔹The leaders also discussed the situation in the Middle East and spoke in favour of restoring peace and stability in the region as soon as possible. In this context, Russia's initiative of hosting the first Russia-Arab summit, to be held in Moscow in October, was recognised once again as timely.

The President received an annual report detailing the development of Russia's human rights protection system. Commissioners pay particular attention to providing assistance to participants in the special military operation and their families.

On June 25, Vladimir Putin will hold a videoconference meeting to discuss the progress in establishing cultural, educational, and museum complexes

Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin and Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova will present reports. The governors of Sevastopol, the Primorye Territory, the Kemerovo Region – Kuzbass and the Kaliningrad Region will detail facilities construction progress in their respective regions.
