Lesson 14 Hadith

This Hadith for today:

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ أَحْدَثَ فِي أَمْرِنَا هَذَا مَا لَيْسَ مِنْهُ فَهُوَ رد»
A’isha reported; Allah’s messenger said: “If anyone introduces into this affair of ours anything which does not belong to it, it is rejected.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

The overall meaning of this Hadith is that any kind, type or form of worship that is not based on authentic proof from the book of Allah, or guidance of the prophet Mohammed, is not valid, will not be accepted and it will be rejected.

For example celebrating the birthday of the prophet Muhammad, sitting in a circle and doing a loud Zakar, or standing up and dancing while remembering Allah is all new forms of worships that has no basis in our religion and won’t be accepted on the day of judgement.
