Seeing these men heal from their childhood wounds is a beautiful thing. But imagine if they had learned this when they were younger. As parents, we have the opportunity to prevent those wounds before they show up 🤎
Let us know what you think in the comments, and if you’d like to dig deeper into this conversation, we’ll be hosting a virtual workshop titled LIBERATED HIJOS via Zoom on Saturday, September 27th, 10am-11:30am PST. To sign up, go to LatinxParenting . org / hijos OR checkout the 🔗 in our b!0 source

anyway you should always remember that all those foreigners you see dying on the news are just as real people as you are who have just as much interiority as you do. there is nothing about you that makes you more important and it is by pure chance that you are not in their position. in fact, this holds for all of history. every person, no matter the horror of the fate that befell them, had just as much interiority as you do. i feel like some people haven't fully internalized this. source

I honestly hate that we've normalized the idea that all opinions are valid. I think we should get back to telling ppl that they are ill informed & ignorant source

Not enough Americans equate 100 years of Jim Crow Laws with fascism and that bothers me. Utilizing imagery of Anne Frank and the gestapo instead of lynchings, forced sterilizations (the Mississippi Appendectomies), internment camps, and sun down towns adds an unnecessary layer of distance. It incorrectly asserts that fascism is this foreign thing that the US has never known, much less allowed. That could not be farther from the truth. source
