Listen. Here is my question. I understand that the answer to the question “What do all these enshittified platforms and websites WANT?” is “Money,” and perhaps “Your data, to sell it for Money.” But how do they expect that to happen? If Pinterest AI moderation is banning thousands of people for pinning things that are offensive, or not offensive, or not pinning anything at all, how are people supposed to use it? How are they supposed to generate data and therefore money for Pinterest? I just keep seeing this. If you sell/destroy/make a social media site, or a news site, or any kind of anything so terrible that people stop using it, how does that save or make you money? source
Tumblr user bogkeep:

there's something so deeply dystopian to me how tech companies don't understand that a forced convenience is not a convenience at all. i'm sure autocorrect is helpful for many, but a function that forcibly changes my actual written words and punctuation is taking away my language. photo filters can be nice but i need to choose using them myself or else i have lost the ability to take the picture i want. i don't want a machine to draw or write for me. taking away the option for me to do things manually feels like violence!!!! all this talk of endless opportunity, why are you RESTRICTING me source
Tumblr user wholeheartedsuggestions:

you can start anytime.

you can brush your teeth in the middle of the day. you can wash the dishes at 2am. you can do things outside the normal times assigned by society.

You can lay on top of the blankets. You can lay under the bed sheets directly on the mattress. You can sit in the shower. You can put your hair up and wash your body, or you can sit on a chair beside and just wash your hair. And for that matter— you can bring a chair into the bathroom. You can go in to wash yourself waist down only and get out right after. You can go to bed in a coat. You can lie on the floor. You can just sweep the floor— no need to mop if you cannot.

You can do things in so many different ways with so many different adjustments; it's worth it to approach any mundane task with an eye of "how do I make this easier on myself? How do I make it bearable?" source
