how to SCORE your speaking

Generally,

1. SPEAK LOUD AND CLEAR !!
you have your interlocuter (the one interviewing you), this one will give like just half of your marks (kinda)

the one you HAVE to focus on is the one BEHIND the interlocuter which is the examiner. they will give you your full marks.

TIPS: whenever you have a good word, SAY IT LOUD so the examiner behind can hear those words.

2. USE COHESIVE DEVICES
im pretty sure there's a lot in this group so sila rujuk situ.

this will help you score for language and organization (will upload the scoring rubrics later on)

TIPS: use different types of cohesive devices, dont just stick to one.

3. FIND GOOD WORDS
of course, less common lexis is IMPORTANT !! without this, your language point will be less than five. and to achieve an excellent grade, you MUST have a variety of these words.

you can check out #wisewords and other vocabs uploaded in the channel !!

4. YOU MUST HAVE GOOD SYNERGY WITH YOUR PARTNER.
this actually has a score. how you communicate with your partner is actually assessed. so please PLEASEE communicate with your partner.

TIPS: practice with your partner A LOT to help increase your synergy

5. STAY WITHIN THE TIME LIMIT
legit. the interlocuter will cut you off if you exceed the time limit so .. watch out for that

TIPS: when you practice, do it within the time limit, set a timer.

6. USE THE P-E-E METHOD.
no, not pee as in urine but pee as in

P - point
E - Elaboration/Explanation
E - Example

this way you guys won't go blank in the middle of the speaking test.

TIPS: practice this. you have 20 seconds to generate ideas for this. so open up PYQ and try it out.

Hii everyone here's a brief explanation about the grammar question that I gave a few hours ago.

The manager, TOGETHER with his assistants.

The word "together" is not a conjunction,so "with his assistants " is just extra information.Therefore,the main subject is still "the manager" by itself. So,the verb must also be singular (is ...)

The manager AND his assistants.

"And" is a conjunction,which means it connects two subjects together.So it's a plural subject,
Plural subject means you need to use (are... )
