Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho is a peculiar anime. It started with a mostly standard but well animated extended first episode, and now it reached a bit of a strange conclusion for its first (and hopefully not only) season.

Animation was wonky and irregular at times, with truly abysmal lows in some episodes, but both plot and characters were always interesting and entertaining to watch.

Despite this, I feel it lost a bit of direction after a while. I know it's meant to be the story of a long life but there is not much progress toward the original premise since the start of the show.

All things considered, it averages out at a solid 6.5/10. If you can stomach some horrible animations at times you'll find a show different from most, and with something to say about life
