Verlan has launched its “Art for All” program that collabs with artists around the world to create wearable art, limited t-shirts designed by the artists themselves, with the subsequent profits donated to charity.

The first collaboration with Marie Hazard, is made from a combination of linen, angora and polyester threads sewn together to create a delicate “net”, that can be interpreted in many ways, depending on the standpoint of the viewer. Proceeds from the sales will support cultural projects in the Tambacounda Region of Southeast Senegal.

Every shirt is equipped with an Arianee NFC chip that helps to narrate the story of the garment 😎

We already mentioned Verlan’s “Art for All” project which gives artists the opportunity to design a t-shirt with the proceeds going to a charitable cause. Well, Verlan keeps lifting the bar with the each collaboration. Next up: ÉCOLE KOURTRAJMÉ.

Kourtrajmé is slang for “court métrage”, or short film. The French non-profit organisation and artist collective has been working in audiovisual media since 1994, producing unique works of film such as this short with Vincent Cassel.

The proceeds of the 125 t-shirts will be donated to the school that was established by Kourtrajmé. 25 shirts will be dedicated to the students.

...if only all collabs like this were verified by Arianee 😉
