The truly believing Gazan has dazzled the desperate world with his patience, faith, steadfastness and worship of Allah, the One and Only – i.e. when people saw in him a living example for faith, the kind of faith that empowers the soul, and fortifies it against fires, hardships, turmoil and losses of all earthly gains. Such role model comes at a time when humanity struggles from the highest levels of viciousness and immorality, and when the western model failed to fulfill its long-dreamed-of fantasy: heaven on earth. Instead, such model led to deeper misery and poverty. Still, the occupation’s army - through its injustice, evilness and destructive behavior- succeeded in awakening what is left of values of justice and brotherhood in the hearts of the free around the world. All combined together leading to the revival of the world has made capitalists feel perplexed by the results of such revival.
Allah’s Will always prevails, but most people do not know.

I ask Allah to accept His servant Yahya al-Sinwar among the martyrs, to grant him righteous successors among his men, to protect the people of Gaza and grant them victory, and to elevate Islam and the Muslims.

Here are some reflections on the news:

1. Dying in the cause of Allah is a great honor, and martyrdom is a lofty and high status. Even the people of Paradise, after entering it and witnessing its bliss, wish for it. Congratulations to those whom Allah accepts as martyrs.
The enemies of Islam have sought to distort the concept of martyrdom and to strip the love of it from the hearts of Muslims, distracting them with trivialities and materialism. This has led many to embody what the Prophet ﷺ foretold about his Ummah in the end times: that Allah would instill weakness in their hearts, which is the "love of the worldly life and the fear of death."
Yet, a few among this Ummah still race towards martyrdom and believe in its sanctity, foremost among them are our people in Gaza.
This Ummah will not succeed unless it regains its love for martyrdom and meeting Allah, raises its youth on these noble values, and unless its scholars and preachers lead by reviving these meanings both in knowledge and in practice.

2. As the news of the tragedies from Gaza continues and its people endure difficult blows, many believers' hearts have shattered, and their fear and anxiety have intensified. Some may even have had bad thoughts.
To them, I say: Do you think that what Allah mentioned in the Qur'an about the trials of the believers "until the Messenger and those who believed with him would say, 'When is Allah’s support (coming)?'" (2:214) was an easy or quick test that could be easily passed? No, by Allah; it was a stern test. The messenger and the believers did not say, "When is Allah’s support (coming)?" because of short, passing trials, but rather due to prolonged and severe tribulations, where hope was lost except in Allah, the Almighty. Let us understand this well, and let us cut all ties except with Allah. Let us be among those about whom Allah said: "They did not waver regardless of that which afflicted them in the way of Allah, nor did they weaken, nor did they give in." (3:146)

3. While social media has been filled with grief, condolences, and eulogies, it has also not been void of hypocrites who have engaged in mockery, joy, and ridicule. In doing so, they renew for us the stories of Abdullah bin Ubayy bin Salul and his group, about whom Allah revealed verses that will be recited until the Day of Judgment. Among those verses is: "If any good touches you, it upsets them. But if anything evil befalls you, they rejoice at it." (3:120) This has always been their way: rejoicing in the misfortunes of the believers and being upset at their victories.
If Allah clarified their conditions in many verses while Islam was strong and the Prophet ﷺ was present among the people, then how about now? This clarification today is from the obligations.

4. We must understand the nature of the battle that the enemy is waging against this Ummah today and realize its dimensions. It is not a partial battle, nor is it limited to Palestine alone. It is not being fought by the occupying entity alone, nor is it merely a battle to eliminate Palestinian resistance. It is a battle to reshape the map and achieve total domination by the occupying entity and its allies in the region, aiming to create a new Middle East in which Israel sits at the top. This effort is supported fully and openly by some Western powers, both militarily and morally, driven by a shared Zionist belief between Jews and Evangelicals to fulfill the prophecies of the Bible in Palestine and the region, not to mention other material interests. All of this is happening with the complete loyalty of hypocrites, with their wealth and media, enabling us to see before our eyes the great schemes and threats to Islam's very foundations, strongholds, and defensive lines. Therefore, one of the major current priorities is to raise awareness of this battle and not to underestimate it. We are living in times where reality is closer to fiction.

Yet, we believe that Allah Almighty governs the universe and wills good for this Ummah, and He will grant victory to those who support Him.
Perhaps everything happening today is paving the way for the Ummah's victory tomorrow, after it awakens, works hard, and puts the Hereafter before the worldly life, aligns with its allies, and opposes its enemies.

So, rise, my brother, do not weaken, do not grieve, do not be defeated, and seek help from Allah. The road is still long, and "this worldly life is but amusement," (40:39) and the final outcome is for the righteous.

Questioner: "Sheikh Ahmad, what if Palestine is like Andalusia and East Turkestan? Weren't the people of Andalusia also praying to Allah and hoping for victory? What guarantees change for us?"

Answer:
1. The Prophet ﷺ said: "A group from my Ummah will continue to fight for the Truth, victorious until the Day of Judgment. He said: "Then, ʿIsa (Jesus) son of Maryam (Mary), peace be upon him, will descend, and their (Muslims') leader will say: 'Come, lead us in prayer.' But he will say: 'No, some of you are leaders over others, as an honor from Allah to this Ummah.'" Narrated by Muslim.
And this descent will take place in Damascus, as stated in the Sahih.

2. The hadith of ʿIsa (Jesus) ﷺ killing the Dajjal (Antichrist) in Palestine [authentic, narrated by Muslim].

There is still time and rounds to come, and Allah has full power and control over His Affairs.
