The greatest danger of the widespread problem of triviality is not wasting time or the fact that some of the trivial content includes shariah violations.  The major problem is structuring human beings in a way that makes them reluctant to accept the religious obligations and the greatest tenets of Islam (the unicity of  God, believing in the unseen, …).  Whoever gets used to triviality would regard religious obligations as a burden. On the contrary,  whoever becomes accustomed to diligence and gets concerned with the most important matters would be more willing to accept religious tenets and obligations.

When Allah sent Musa, peace be upon him, to the Pharoah, He commanded him to invite him to two things:
1) To worship Allah the Almighty and to stop associating partners with Him: {And say, ‘Would you ˹be willing to˺ purify yourself, and let me guide you to your Lord so that you will be in awe ˹of Him˺?’”} [79: 18,19].
2) To free the oppressed and to  refrain from tyranny: {so let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them} [20:47].
Reformists today  need to address both points, without disregarding either one of them:
1) Inviting people to faith, sincerity, correcting their creed and purifying it from counter-ideologies.
2)Supporting the oppressed, being engaged in their causes, and fighting injustice.
It is noticeable that some stress the importance of one at the expense of the other. The correct approach is found in the guidance of Musa, peace be upon him.

If it was necessary even for prophets to hold fast to Allah in order to overcome trials and tribulations, how can an ordinary human being who is drenched in sin and shortcomings solely rely on himself to be saved?! On the contrary, we should always seek the support of Allah to overcome all trials and tribulations.
