Is tvd your comfort show?

I don't get into tv shows often, I just don't have the patience lol, so its rare for me to get into a show so much that I rewatch often

Tvd is one of those comfort shows along with game of thrones

I can just turn tvd on anytime and just sit back and watch

I mostly tend to stick with seasons 1-4 though as the writing gets pretty bad from s5 on

Saw yet another post about Elena being self centered while scrolling on Tumblr, but can we all just pause and focus on Damon please??

1x8 (Lexi’s death)/4x17

Elena: So you're saying that you felt bad for Lexi?

Damon: She became a walking, talking reminder of all the awful things I'd done. And I managed to avoid her for decades, and then she just shows up in Mystic Falls to wish my baby bro a happy birthday, and boom-- rush of memories, rush of guilt.

Elena: So you kill her?

Damon: Out of sight, out of mind.

Can we be serious pls. Kills his brothers lifelong friend bc he felt guilt like ugh bro just shut up.

Damon: I just have to say something.

Elena: Why do you have to say it with my necklace?

Damon: Well, because what I'm about to say is...probably the most selfish thing I have ever said in my life.

Elena: Damon, don't go there.

Damon: No, I just have to say it once. You just need to hear it. I love you, Elena and it's because I love you that...I can't be selfish with you. Why you can't know this. I don't deserve you but my brother does.

Violates her mind so HE can get his feelings off his chest. Has he ever considers shutting the hell up? And let’s not forget how he spends the following seasons pursuing her. So much for letting her go.

Elena: It will work.

Damon: You think it will work. You want it to work. Why am I the only one who's convinced it won't? There has to be another way.

Elena: There isn't.

Damon: And you're going to die, Elena.

Elena: And then I'll come back to life.

Damon: That is not a risk I'm willing to take.

Elena: But I am.

Elena: It's my life, Damon. My choice.

Damon: I can't lose you.

Elena: You won't.

She goes toward the door but Damon intercepts her.

Damon: There is another way.

Elena: What are you...

He bites his wrist so it starts bleeding.

Elena: Damon, no!

Yay, tries turning her into the one thing he knows damn well she doesn’t want because HE’S afraid of losing her. Genuinely what is his problem.


And let’s not forget 7x15 where Stefan lets himself get stabbed so Damon doesn’t get hunted by Rayna.

STEFAN: What is this?

DAMON: sighs We both know the last few months have been impossible for me. I've been walking a tightrope. Falling off constantly. I'm not a good brother when I'm not with Elena, and when I'm not a good brother, people get hurt.

Stefan looks at Damon, both horrified and furious at Damon for what he knows is coming

STEFAN: So, you're just gonna run away?

DAMON: Nope. I'm gonna stay in one place. Desiccated, right next to her.

STEFAN: angrily Yeah. I saved your life-- time and time again. I chose you. I sacrificed everyone and everything for you. You're just gonna turn your back on me now?

DAMON: sadly We're vampires, Stefan. It's temporary. I'll see you again.

Damon turns to leave again, and Stefan loses his temper

STEFAN: Listen to me. If there's even a fraction of you that cares about me-- your brother, your family-- you will not walk out that door.

Damon looks pained to have to do this, but doesn't turn back

DAMON: Save a good bottle of that bourbon for me, brother. We're gonna need it to sort all this out in about sixty years.

He’s an actual waste of space here, I’m so tired.

4x7 (episode after Stelena has broken up)

Stefan: Ah, so you're gonna confront Shane, threaten him, possibly kill him, that sort of thing.

Damon: Yeah, unless he tells me what he's up to. He pats Stefan on the shoulder. What do you say? Should we tag team this?

Stefan: Nah, l'd say you're on your own.

Stefan starts to leave again, but Damon stops him.

Damon: Or we could just blow it off and go get drunk.
Brother bond over some Tri Delts. If you, you know, want some quality time.

The fake concern is genuinely taking me out. l've never seen anything more pathetic, damn. He spends what? Like over a year chasing his brothers girl and suddenly he cares about Stefan's feelings?? Omg I would've killed his dumbass on the spot. Stef

gagged him though after that so I think that's enough (it's not enough😔).

Funny thing is, this is just off the top of my head lol. But you know this is not all of it.

So come one people! Less focus on Elena, more focus on Ratmon please and thank you.

No one else could play the role of Damon as well as Ian could; he added a unique charm to the character; with his handsomeness, mysterious aura, and charisma, he captivated the audience. Ian, with the role of Damon, increased his popularity and seemed born to be Damon.

Why does it matter who met Elena first?

I haven't watched tvd in a while, so maybe I'm missing something, but why was it such a big deal that Elena met Damon first? Like, okay? She met Damon first, and they had no relationship with each other or anything, just a small interaction, so why was it such a big deal? Was it because they thought she would've fallen for Damon if she met him first because we don't even know if that would have been the case.
