We're thrilled to share our ambitious journey that's been 16 years in the making!

Over the years, our dedication has led to steady growth, but our ambitions have outpaced our accommodations. Now, we're on the cusp of securing a permanent home—a hof surrounded by nature, offering both indoor and outdoor spaces for ritual, workshops, and gatherings in the hills of Northeast PA.

But we need your support to make Irminhof a reality. We have a lender, we have the property picked out, we have a business plan, but we need help covering a portion of the down payment. This rite is designed to bless and bring life and power to your images of the Gods, called Skurðgoðar. This is a very important element in your practice, for your focus within the rite should be upon these images and the deities they represent.

The idea is not that the inanimate objects are divine themselves, but rather that they are imbued with a portion of deific strength and identity, which allows us to offer to them as if we were facing the Gods themselves. Their images are symbols of their power, and as such become a centralized force within our ceremony. They become the will of the divine, and our conduit to the worlds beyond. Offer to them and let them see our devotion, our worship, and our praise.

I was finally able to get my altar finished! We utilize the 9 square grid aka the Grindr, which we believe we have demonstrated was used to establish a sacred space.

Sacred groves and nature are a part of heathenry, no one can deny that. But that isn't an altar. Each ritual needs a properly set up sacred space, altar, and ritual tools in order for it to be authentic.

Here we delve into the reasoning behind the notion that men driven by emotions are not suited for leadership roles, as illustrated in Grettir's Saga. The saga contrasts two types of reactions: immediate response, likened to a thrall's behavior, and no reaction, deemed cowardly.

The saga suggests that vengeance is appropriate only when atonement falls short. Instantaneous retaliation, driven by emotion, is indicative of a man lacking strength and control, often resulting in actions deemed effeminate and causing unnecessary conflict.

A leader, by contrast, embodies humility, strength, compassion, and emotional intelligence. Such a leader does not seek immediate ego satisfaction, especially when it could tarnish their reputation or negatively impact their followers.

The text asserts that excessive emotionality is a flaw, equating it with weakness and servitude.

HOF UPDATE.

Thanks to our generous donors we have raised enough "proof of funds" to submit our offer. The fundraiser is blowing away our expectations, averaging a $1k per day for 3 weeks solid.

This weekend we visited the property and began negotiations. When we are in contract we will share photos both publicly, and in our membership portal where we will discuss plans.

While we have raised enough to put in our offer, there will still be closing costs. Inspections, surveys, utilities, etc.

This Hof will become a focal point of the community and will enable all of us to improve and grow our faith in new ways we could never have dreamed of before. The Irminfolk are the Stewards and facilitators of this initiative, but it belongs to us all.

That is why we are asking for anybody who can help to please donate to our fundraiser, join our auxiliary, buy from futhark, or if you can't afford to do that right now, please share our appeal to whoever you know.
