STARTING XI:

Sanchez - 5: Couldn’t have done much better for the goals, distribution was sloppy otherwise.

Caicedo - 7: Looked a lot better in midfield, kept going with several tackles and interceptions. Struggled first half and should have done better for the first goal.

Chalobah - 7: Didn’t shy away defensively, produced a huge last ditch tackle in first half. Although there were a couple of times he lacked concentration, but overall a good performance.

Colwill - 7: Flawless second half, kept Isak quiet.

Cucurella - 7: Another who didn’t really put a foot wrong, had a golden chance to score. Overall, tidy performance.

Lavia - 6: Lost the ball in lead up to first goal, still did well on the ball throughout with a few line breaking passes to initiate attacks.

Fernandez - 5: Struggled to stamp his quality on the game, got schooled by Guimaraes. Needs to be better physically. Forced a good save from Pope.

Neto - 5: Poor set-piece delivery. Kept at it with his pressing but didn’t manage to do much on the ball.

Palmer - 5: Decision making and execution iffy again. Kept going but quality wasn’t there.

Madueke - 5: Questionable attitude in tracking back in opening stages, didn’t manage to cause any havoc 1v1 either.

Jackson - 1: Shocking in the air when competing for crosses and petulant move for the red card.

SUBSTITUTES:

James - 6: Did well in duels and could’ve scored from his header on another day. Added balance and more physicality.

Gusto - 5: Put it a great delivery for James’ chance.

Sancho - 6: Kept the ball well and decision making was good again.
